Fannie Petunia

I’m a big fan of all those involved in the making of this movie! I was looking forward to watching it when it was available on Netflix! I have to say I was underwhelmed by the time it was over! I was never engaged with any of the characters or engrossed in the movie narrative! I think it’s because I didn’t understand the main characters motivation for doing all the murders and crimes he claimed to commit! The Frank Sheeran character did not seem to be a psychopath yet claimed to murder people in a way that only someone who has a major mental disorder would behave. I needed to understand the Frank Sheeran character more in order for me to suspend my disbelief to be drawn into the movie about the reasons for his choices and his lifestyle. That said I was happy to see my favorite actors together in a Martin Scorsese film even though I still prefer Goodfellas! By the way, I’ve always loved Al Pacino!
