Buggy yes. Moreso than other top games released? Not so much. If you've played any bethesda game like fallout or skyrim, the bugs in this game seem on the same level.
That being said...
I love this game. The depth of the even the smallest side mission is excellent. Other games that have cookie cutter scenarios and maps have much to learn from the intensive story telling in Cyberpunk 2077. The variety of strategy that can be applied to a situation is fantastic. For example, a gang is beating up innocent civilians - do I A. Run in with a bat or sword and wreak havoc in melee? B. Sit back in the distance and pick everyone off carefully with a rifle? C. Pull out a handgun and dodge and move in a shootout? D. Sneak up and eliminate everyone stealthy like? E. Go for broke with a zany hack attack that disables everyone and run in to save the day...
Driving could use some improvement but the game isn't driving focused aside from the occasional getaway or race. Crafting is fun and rewarding if you like trade skill games as I do. The variance in the story line based on decisions you make creates a feeling of character and self which is interesting as you get deep into the story.
As a gamer that has been through tons of frustration with games that crash and should not have been released past beta, this game could definitely have used more polish before release but the fun and involved story line outweigh any reservations I have about that. I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a solid sci-fi adventure, is a long-time cyberpunk fan, or just wants a game to run around and devastate a large open world futuristic city with grenades and shotguns. It's a dark story that deals with the underbelly of a corrupt future society and it shines.
