The trailer to this movie was better than the movie itself. We saw Jake Lacy in White Lotus and enjoyed his performance so while I knew this was a low budget movie, I expected much more. Up until about the half way mark, I was into the movie enough to keep watching and find out what was going on.
****SPOILER****
Once it was made known to us viewers that the alien took over Harry, it went downhill from there. The blade from the finger was just plain ridiculous to me. I appreciated that the producer created one of the ending scenes that shows the alien inside Ruth's body having a panic attack. I think it's important to show that you really do lose all control of your body and panic sets in. It's important to show how people truly experience these things in their daily lives and how they are feeling throughout the attack.
Final Thoughts-- It was a movie that while I don't completely regret watching, I won't watch again and it's unlikely I would watch a sequel.
