After selling the frustrating, horrible and downright unfair Returnal, I bought Alba because I wanted something that was the precise opposite of Returnal. And I got it. This game is so chill that I have now recovered fully from my Returnal experience. Do not buy Returnal. Buy Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. Your blood pressure and lack of brain aneurysms will thank you.

This film is a cautionary tale for any writer who thinks it's OK not to do the research. There are too many technical implausibilities to list here, there is an over-reliance on "empathy dumps" rather than actual character development, and the final twist is eye-rollingly silly. There are also send me really glaring omissions of story-crucial information. Avoid this movie.

This show is incredible. It incorporates so many genres, the cast's performances are stunning, the storyline is engaging. But what makes it truly special is how complex the character interplay is. It's rare to find a show that captures emotions and characters in such a way that it is difficult to see a 'right' and a 'wrong.' Each character is flawed but still valuable and perfect in their own way. Recommended even (especially?) for people who say that they "don't like this kind of thing." Watch it, you won't be disappointed, and you might just learn something new about your fellow human beings.
