I haven't been a fan of the Tales series in the past. I decided to pre-order Arise because of how amazing it looked in all of the trailers, and I have never been so satisfied with a purchase before. This is one of my favorite games of all time (along with the KH Series, Persona 5: Royal, and Xenoblade Chronicles 1&2). The story is incredible, and it is not afraid to tackle subjects such as slavery and wanted suicide. While the skits can sometimes feel like an info dumb, they also show great pieces of character development and add so much to the game. The combat also feels extremely good when you get the hang of chaining different skills together, especially with such a diverse group of playable characters. This game is easily a 5 Star rating, and Game of the Year for me. I cannot recommend it enough.
