What a pandering joke this movie is. I get that the idea was to bring a Hispanic super-hero to the silver screen, but the clichéd portrayal of the Hispanic family in this film is cringe worthy. I can’t be the only one to have watched this film and thought that. The story is so clichéd that you have probably seen it 30 to 40 times in other films. Not one single original idea. I can’t believe that the script actually got green-lighted. Blue Beetle is a D-list comic character at best and to bank roll a film on that alone is an insane risk, not to mention a script far removed from the source material. This movie is so bad, you just can’t take my word on it, you really have to see for yourself just how truly bad it is. I’m not talking about a bad movie that is so bad it’s actually entertaining, NO, I’m talking so bad that it’s pathetic and sad.
