Great book. I wrote the original version before Maltese got on the bandwagon and got his name on the book because the deal was he’d bring it to a publisher which i had been unable to do. No disrespect to Maltese but he cannot write like me, an advanced lyrical sybolist. I AM JACOB CAMPBELL, my pen name. (Other gay novels are out of print, but FRENCH QUARTER KNIGHT & TWO LOVES are explicit gay novels in NEW ORLEANS. As Campbell I wrote this book it was as a true story about an altar boy molested by his priest friend, and subsequent years in all boy‘ s seminary. So, the real life priest got busted. I never believed in hitting mother church up for cash because of what that perverted Fr. D. Rogers did. He was an odd bug and did little harm to me. Being sexually and physically assaulted by others was much more traumatic. However, after reading Jean Genet’s MIRACLE OF THE ROSE I got inspired to write this visionary surreal autobiography. I’m working on a less sexually explicit version that should be out in 2023. Read this on an ebook. It is a fabulous picture of life in the 1950s and early 60s. Boys in love, and secret behavior everywhere.

This is the definitive book on how to draw head and hands. It is really the best and they are getting harder to find for a reasonable price. I look back at my drawing and sketchbooks and it is amazing to me to see the well drawn heads and hands I did while following this step by step Loomis model. I recommend that you get this one as soon as you can. It is the classic in the field. There are many things a person can do to draw, but practice daily is it, and this book gives you something to work on that leads you forward.
