Too much of the storyline was given in dialogue. All of the facts were vomited into the council and other convenient venues.

Pseudo intellectual dialogue and the girl is nothing more than a black Lisa Simpson. Filled with imaginative details and memes. It just does not fill the role of storyline. Characterizations and fantastic imaginations of scale don't quite give the story a worthy bent. I wouldn't watch it as a bingeworthy series. A voracious appetite for science fiction is required to get this more than a 3-star rating.
