I am a humongous fan of the Mothman and this film has tributed the Beast well although it only had just about 45 seconds of screen time referring to the creature itself it actually was scary although it's very very short you do get your first look at the Mothman very early in the film the film is 1 hour 59 minutes and in contrast compared to other monster movies you get the Mothman very very early this movie has a few jump-scares although they're all mediocre except for one which considerably was decent the film's horror aspect was for most people they would say in the middle but for me it was kind of like a it was more of a thriller and I feel like people could agree on that then it was more Thriller than horror like more tension and more perfectly time to jump-scares and more perfectly synced dialogue or swears like this movie has that kind of tone to it and you got Richard Gere so I feel like every movie should have at least one well-known celebrity name so that people will actually go watch it and it'll keep them at least slightly entertained if the movie is bad if I had to be honest Richard Gere carried half of this film Mothman carried 10% of the film and the other 40% is just the dialogue and the sound editing speaking of the sound editing is absolute top tier that is Oscar Worthy although I was not nominated for an Oscar its best sound was recognized at a some kind of Science Fiction award 2003 golden reel Award for best sound editing in a feature and it won this film is for most people a 50/50 but for me I loved it and I always will.
