I had high hopes for this movie only to see them dashed to sad CGI pieces! There is so little actual, archive footage of Polikarpov I-15 & 16's, Mitsubishi A5M's, G3M's and the rest that the opportunity to see them even in CGI would be a 'treat'.... But no: the air combat scenes were awful, the time line was screwed up and 30 caliber bullets do not explode. The rest of the movie is so horribly bad that words fail me but I'll try. The only 'good' scene in the movie deserving mention was the truly horrific Bomb Shelter scene. It was 'stylized' by necessity: had it be done any more 'accurately' it would have been "X" rated and unwatchable. As for the rest, it was utterly forgettable.
