My partner is a wheelchair user and I am only recently disabled myself (with Sciatica). So from our point of view (and it seems like most of you don't and won't agree!) Although yes, it's a lovely story BUT. The but in this instance, being big and important! She falls in love with him and he falls in like with her. But, well you know what happens, so I won't use spoilers, but he should have cared more. We know that he, as a quadriplegic is suffering an awful amount and he should have told her all about him and his future plans, from the moment she arrived. Of course usually, she would have had to do ALL the work, including washing, bathing, cleaning up, all the lifting and everything, most people, even rich ones, don't have two people for the heavy bit and the fun bit like in this movie! I felt more for what she went through, because I absolutely adore Emilia Clarke, being such a fun and smiley actress. How could you not like her? But if you reading this, ever become disabled yourself (and I sincerely hope you don't, as it's a 'wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy' sort of thing), then I hope you watch 'Me Before You' once again and then you may understand what I am trying to say here. But if you really like this movie, I can also recommend watching 'Last Christmas', also starring Emilia and being an utterly loveable movie, with a twist. She smiles a lot, she laughs a lot and is, as usual, utterly desireable! I watch it at least once a year.
