It's really irritating that I have to give any stars in order to place a review... but I get it, and I don't do these often, only when I feel it's absolutely necessary.
My fiance and I cringed the first time we had seen the trailer while at the movies.
Once we heard the voice of Shaggy it hurt both of us more than it should have.
(Matthew Lillard will always be our favorite Shaggy, I also love Casey Kasem.) The jokes in the trailer were just as bad as when we unbelievably sat down and watched the actual movie.
It isn't worth your time to watch it, nor is it even worth your money to buy it for that matter.
The whole movie is boring and the plot was badly thought-out(if anyone actually used their brain to convey a thought during the making of this "movie").
It felt like whoever came up with this to become an actual product to even graze store shelves, must've been the same person that tried to come out with the show Citizen for Hulu; the Pilot was all over the place just the same.. the only difference is Scoob! unfortunately got picked up...
Simon Cowell appearing for a few minutes makes zero sense since he just shows up out of nowhere and honestly has no real importance......
Shaggy and Scooby are on their own adventure the whole time while the rest of the gang are just trying to find them.
The jokes are extremely bad.. not to mention there's a dabbing scene... oh boy......
The animation isn't even good either.
The animators designing the newest version of Mario did better on making every hair strand visible to the player's eye than they did making these characters give off any type of feel-good emotion to the viewers.
The only thing I can sadly say that I truly liked about this so-called film is that I enjoy the small robots because they were cute and carried the majority of this project until the end; I also enjoyed Dee Dee Skyes and Dynomutt.
There was one cool throw in mention of the Hex Girls on a poster in the background of the abandoned theme park arcade for a split second.
We debated, going back-and-forth on whether we should buy it to experience it or not.. we are unsatisfied at the fact that we now own this fiery steaming pile of $20.00 garbage...
Please. Save. Yourself.
