Great for its time. All living things except for 3 people vanish from NZ or disappear to an alternate empty universe or something to that effect that is except for a lot of birds flying around in the skies, sitting on power lines, buildings and trees. A few sheep and cows in fields that sort of thing. In an era where CGI was in its infancy, greater detail should have been spent in each scene making sure the environment matched the plot. Other than that it’s actually ok and original at the time. A next to no budget film like this for the most part in the early to mid 80’s in a country at that time not known for any film making talent did ok I think.
