I loved the books, and love the series as well. It's unusual in that it has multiple main characters, each with their own back story and motivations. The difference between the good guys and bad guys is a bit of a grey area at times, which I enjoy. It's all about the fantasy world building, and the slow burn of character development. I'm so happy that some actually good fantasy books have a decent TV adaptation now!
