Let's start with I came to the Witcher world through the show. Yes I know there's a book series and a video game. This doesn't make me less of a sci-fi/ fantasy fan as some gatekeepers think. Sometimes you just can't get to them all. I liked this show. After coming away from many Scifi fantasy shows of the 80s and 90s (and beyond) this is great! (Those old d&d movies leave so much to be desired!) Yes it's fast paced and not extremely in depth and had they tried to stretch it it would have worked against them but this watches more like an action adventure movie. I loved the diversity of cast. The world seems more realistic to me with the diversity of peoples. There are a million different shades of human why not a million different shades of elf, dwarf, etc etc. And oh the Lark! One of the best portraits of a Bard if ever there was! This felt very much like a D&D let's get a party together and save the world campaign.
