So many total "meh" performances I would have been bored to watch even in person yet the judges really like the person so they go through. Typically the truly "Big" acts are the ones instantly eliminated while the basic county fair act is what goes through. Honestly the majority of these acts just feel like the washed up leftovers that couldn't hack it elsewhere. Also the whole voting system doesn't make sense. Oh and the totally fake insanely over-acted reactions from the judges kill the entire thing.

Nothing about this show works at all. 1: The main character just never passes as an actual teenage boy so it creates a weird dissonance that makes it impossible to ever buy into what is happening. The whole time you're painfully aware this is a 30-something woman and it just takes you out of the moment entirely. 2: The characters, dialogue, actions, behavior etc. seem like they were written by someone who has never met an actual human before. I get that they were going for "awkward teenage boy" but they went so far beyond that it's toeing the line into "mentally challenged." As someone who was once a super awkward teenage boy myself I can't even begin to relate to what is supposed to be a teenager who acts like an attention seeking 10 year old with the social understanding of a 4 year old. 3: They keep trying to shoehorn in the idea of trying to fit in and how the main character's "culture" is preventing that but even that topic falls completely flat given that the character's problems stem from what appears to be a clinical developmental disorder and nothing to do with his heritage. Also the character is actually entirely devoid of any noticeable cultural difference that is supposedly causing them problems. 4: The comedy is never funny, the drama feels like it's constantly just a cheap setup for another failed joke, and the entire thing is just painfully cringe inducing to watch. This tells no real person's story that ever existed. It feels like what someone who is completely out of touch with reality might THINK is a 14 year old kid's life but it's so far off the mark it's painful.

This show is an absolute breath of fresh air amongst all the other "comedy" shows that have completely forgotten what comedy is and instead bore you to death with tired, lazy, overused, political-bias-loaded "jokes" to pander to hashtags and twitter likes. Nothing wrong with discussing politics but who wants to be beat over the head with it 24/7? THANK YOU David Spade and guests for bringing some life and laughs back to "Comedy" Central.

Just garbage on all levels. A mish mash of cheap trite cliches, 60% of the movie is just a pitch black screen, so much so it actually got boring waiting to see something again. Acting was mediocre at best and the overall plot was pure nonsense with 0 thought, originality, or even a hint of worthwhile content. 80% boring backstory building up and a dead fall flop of a final sequence and "twist." Don't bother watching, you're better off spending your time digging a hole.
