First of, it seems that this game was released prematurely. This was evident from the many features that was reported as omitted, Upon playing 50 hours of this game one thing is very clear, there is a huge gap between story and world design in this game. On one hand you would love how detailed and beautiful Hogwarts and the world around it is, it's relatively big and really fun to explore, on the other hand the stories and side quests you encounter in the world are so simple and monotonous that after doing a couple of them you'd rather stop trying.
Considering the franchise is based on the rich world made in Harry Potter books, you'd expect the main story to be strong and well-written. This couldn't be far from the truth. Hogwarts Legacy has such a flawed and patchy story that one wonders how this could have happened. Wasn't there anyone who reviewed the story before release?
If you're a Harry Potter fan then give this game a go, you'd love to explore the world on a broom or even a thestral, but don't keep your hopes up for a good story or you'd be very disappointed.
