If you like quirky then Doc Martin is for you. Martin Clunes fumbles through life, an excellent doctor who upchucks at the site of blood, he is appallingly unsure of himself in every emotional moment. HIs confusion at being misunderstood is hilarious or sad depending on the moment. I have watched since the beginning on PBS in the USA. All the actors add something unique to every interaction. You should watch, addicting and cheers you for days as you wait breathlessly for the next show. A+ for the entire cast and lovely Portwenn.
