Its OK but the series never explains why its called Van Helsing in Season 1. Its basically a copy of The Walking Dead with Vampire Zombies. Its a shame because i think the concept is good. Its defies most of the lore surrounding vampires which is a shame. Most legends cover the fact that when you turn into a vampire you become a more glamourous bettrer version of yourself and beautiful. None of these vampires are beautiful at all. There seems to be an assumption that if you get bitten you automatically turn into a feral zombie like vampire which is a bit daft if you follow most accepted Vampire culture. I think if they had concertrated on the traitional vampire culture and not tried to copy the Walking Dead it would be a cracking series
