I thought the movie was a perfect adaptation of the Broadway musical. From the costumes, the singing and dancing and the music score. Everything was beautiful and the life-like ears and tails twitching was amazing. I would have preferred an exact replication of the Broadway version, as some of the songs were changed a bit. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and plan to watch it again.

The first half of the movie consists of old flashbacks of the previous movies in this series, so if you’re never seen any of the old Mission Impossible movies in this series, you’ll will be lost. The Flashbacks were really hard to remember from so many years ago. Some of the dialogue was hard to understand, because the actors were talking too soft. The Action scenes were dramatic, but somewhat unbelievable in some instances : ( Tom Cruise hanging on an airplane, Tom Cruise running about 50 mph, also the scene inside the abandoned submarine & how he managed to finally escape & swim all the way to the surface with no breathing equipment) (eyes rolling) The love interest could have been better developed too, and the ending reunion scene in the city could have been more “heartwarming “. I’m glad I went to see the movie because the popcorn was really good, However my husband fell asleep right away. Final conclusion : this is not a movie that I would watch again or recommend any of my friends to spend money to go see.

No character development . No back story told on the characters. Very mediocre acting & dialogue. Characters with little involvement in the story were highlighted more in the movie. It would have been better as a documentary. Just not enough personal involvement between the characters to create a connection.
