AHS is horror for people that find real horror movie/shows to be TOO MUCH for them, so they can say "I love horror" because horror has been trendy since The Walking Dead.
I've tried watching this series during multiple seasons and has a HORROR fan and just can't do it. I'm bored and I find the acting seriously cheesier than any low-budget B-movie.
Horror isn't meant to be elongated a whole season. Its rare for their to be a series that couldn't have easily been an 1.5 hour movie. They become more of a TV show, where you make characters likable and look for ways to keep the episodes interesting instead of concentrating on a single story. Definition of Horror is watching something approach that you can't avoid. I never get that feeling watching AHS, I just want something cool to happen and it never does.
Channel Zero, now that's a good anthology series but its it got cancelled because it wasn't as PLEBY has this crappy show. You're just PULLING THE TAFFY too much and there's no real horror in these shows.
The only season of AHS my wife & I enjoyed was Roanoke before the regular cast came in to ruin everything that story was building too.
Once I talked to other AHS fans I realized how they felt about Roanoke, that's when I knew this show isn't for me and will never be for me.
