It is a classic break-up film unsurpassed, with a fantastic unforgettable rooftop concert as the finale. Ironically they did not break up then as the film appears to have been edited a bit later when they began the breakup. The 2021 film made from the same 59 hours of film shot originally for a TV special, reportedly shows it being a better time than the Beatles themselves remembered it. They had problems with the scheduling and location of the sessions but the original film used a higher portion of scenes of anger than were actually filmed. The director may have seen it as an oncoming breakup and edited the film to match his opinion. Get Back will shed a more accurate representation on the month they filmed according to the director of the new edit.
