This Purge had another great message to send! Not to give any spoilers away, but it was very much based on Trump's white supremacist America. Definitely a smart way to incorporate our current issues in the United States into the franchise. However, if you're looking for character development or reoccurring characters, you will be disappointed. I understand the main point of the movie was to get a message across and not to focus so much on the characters, but it would've been nice to dive a little deeper. This is the least scary and thrilling Purge, but still worth a watch!

If you're expecting a similar feel to The Conjuring, you will be disappointed. This is vastly different from The Conjuring. I still enjoyed the movie, but it did not meet my expectations. The script is kind of blah and the storyline doesn't feel whole or make much sense. The actors are amazing, but everything else was machining Specifics: - I did not appreciate the way they created the French Canadian. His character should've been darker and with less humor. Reminded me of Hook in Once Upon a Time. Cringe for a horror movie! Although, I did love the way he was connected back to the first Conjuring! - The nun was showed WAY too much. It made it significantly less scary. - I don't know about you, but I despise when a movie feels like it's about to end and then has another 30 minutes left.

What was the point of any of this?
