Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal

I think this film shows the impact of the deceitful college admissions. How sad for the deserving students who worked hard to get in only for the likes of Olivia Jade to take their spot. I honestly think even the nepo kids should have gotten some punishment. It’s impossible that they were unaware of what their parents were plotting for their sakes. They posed for athletic photos. They must have at least been informed what those were intended for.

I kinda skimmed through a few minutes out of curiosity. Not worth watching for me. It screams “look how fabulous I am”. Lifestyle is out of this world. She’s enjoying it for sure. But really it’s all just bling. She’s still missing the ring 💍 She seems ok with the kids. But to be honest she needs and of course has all the help she can get to live like that. I doubt that she carries on like most regular moms.

I was curious to see what the movie was about. Not much substance in the plot. Major twist? Sure but nothing significantly interesting. The incessant humming and the camera takes are migraine inducing. If you’re motion sensitive or vertigo prone you may want skip this movie. I forwarded through a lot of the scenes. Especially the raunchy ones … no need for nudity. Credit to Florence Pugh. She tried her best and truly is an excellent actress. But sadly this movie didn’t do anything for her. Don’t worry darling… just move on.

I enjoyed watching the series. It has a refreshing take on history. The characters are well played and the actors are perfectly suited to their roles. The wardrobe is exquisite and shows the opulent fashion of the nobles. Versailles is a beautiful palace and to see it in the series is absolutely divine. I know a lot of the intimate scenes are too wild but you can skip those. Fast forward on the remote control takes care of that. It’s an enjoyable series and I loved seeing transformation in each of the characters. I hope they make another one for next kings.
