Exhausting! It’s like she’s desperately trying to “fluff up the pages” or something with pouring so much nonsense and overbearing descriptive text into each of the pages. It’s painful to endure. My sister warned me about it and encouraged me to push through, but I am halfway through it now and it’s so relentlessly exhausting I’ve just begun skipping entire pages which are filled with pointless crap. It’s a shame because the storyline itself is so good. But this is sooooooo over the top. This book could easily be half the size and 10 times better if she removed all the boring crap. I love Sarah J Maas and I’ve read all her books. Not sure what the hell happened with this one.

This is so sickeningly woke. Making references here and there towards so many politically fueled topics would have been appropriated. Showing inclusion is for sure appropriate. But shoving it down the viewers throat, over and over and over again, is just completely over the top and unacceptable. I’m a huge SATC fan. Always have been. But this is nothing like what it used to be. It’s desperate, try hard, and just icky. We get that the world has changed in 20-30 years. But you don’t need to make the entire show about a very small population of people EXCLUDING everyone else and losing sight of what the girls and life in NYC is all about. So poorly done. I’m only on episode 3 of season 1 and I’m already dipping out.
