I wanted to like this. And I am truly to women who have suffered abuse. But there is something very dishonest and self-agrandizing about this 'film.' You have to really suspend your critical mind and even common sense to buy it all. It has a lynch mob feel to it. And it's very odd that there was only one man interviewed regarding Jim's character--and he was gay. I would have considered a higher score if there was even a semblance of self-awareness and self-critical analysis. Alltogether it is very unfortunate considering this peice probably achieves the opposite of what was intended.

Horrible. I didn't expect much from this type of lowbrow humor, but bad is bad. Might be the worst movie I've seen in years. I had trouble getting through 15 minutes of this hackery.

The visuals are stunning and the tone is intense but fails to deliver any real substance. It reminds me of trance music with little melody and form-- relying on aesthetics. I guess it's a valid art form. I suspect many will project philosophical depth onto this thin yet palid canvas but to me it is mostly smoke that lacks subtlety and sophistication.

Superficial, trite, and utterly unbearable. The lead's ham-fisted caricature of Elton John just barely reached the level of a high school glee performance at best. Just knowing this "production" exists, haunts me and diminishes my own humanity.
