I've lived in the NW my entire life, and the show is incredibly accurate. Once you get out of the inner cities of WA, you'll discover poverty, drugs, alcohol abuse, stingy business owners, and a big divide between the rich and poor. The show really highlights the economic struggles of rural Washington, not even just the coastal areas, but pretty much any of the small towns that were once thriving but are basically ghost towns now because of the logging industry slowing down. I have a similar story to the main character, so for me it was easy to connect with the show. I highly recommend. Its very artistic and shows the contrast of the beauty of the NW verses the ugliness of poverty.
