I really loved this book. I’m an avid consumer of murder mystery / crime novels and this really does hold up among the best in my opinion. The plot is intricate and very clever yet the tone is beautifully witty and lighthearted. It’s the first crime novel that has made me audibly chuckle and cry while managing to still be incredibly gripping. It’s also one of the few murder mysteries I’ve read where the killers were a genuine surprise to me which was delightful. The characters are charming, interesting and very well rounded. I thought this book to be an absolute triumph.
