This was a ride of a film. I enjoyed it a lot and it reminded me of burn after reading. Everyone all over the place is a genre in and of itself. You get many surprises along the way here and won't be disappointed. I was quite pleasantly surprised after watching. Joseph gordon levitt is great and so were the rest of the cast. I am surprised this film wasn't bigger, but clearly wasn't advertised much compared to other big box films. There was something happy go lucky about the movie despite all the chaos throughout. I was happy about it and feel like there isn't much else to compare it to - quite a unique movie.

I enjoyed the tense paranoid filled scenes throughout this movie but definitely feel like A24 could've done better given some of their other films and work. It was a unique story but the unseen enemies in the woods trope is overused and I think the bird box concept has been played with enough. It was fun watching family bonds get tested but at the same time felt pointless along the way. I feel like the main points of this film were lost to me and I'm not sure if they will ever resonate with me. "being the bad guy" for the good of your family makes sense but he knew they were all doomed either way. Not sure what to think of this.

Akudama drive has an aesthetic and storyline that are original and very different. The background music and tech-y montages as courrier traverses the city are intense and keep your attention locked on the show. This reminded me a lot of akame ga kill, and I definitely recommend watching this. There is a common theme of 1 season animes being good and me wanting more - but they ended everything at the perfect time, and I will always remember the show fondly. Some of the animation and colorful backdrops were like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Seeing the executioners kill so many had me shook as well. Great show.

The composition of this series is very good compared to the latest game infinite wealth that was released. There's a lot of abbreviation and condensed storylines, but this is a freshing take on a video game like fallout or among us. Less comedic than the game is, but I would definitely hope for a season 2. The aesthetic of the show is amazing and the outfits/final scene of everyone crowding the street was top tier. It felt like a different take on organized crime media or movies that may have occurred in the past. The switching between years can be confusing, but they ultimately ended the season well setting it up for another.

Going in style was exactly what you’d expect from a bank heist - gone geriatric. It was very fun to watch and was light hearted, I would recommend to anyone. The banker is quite funny and the film even comes full circle as the young saves the old by the end. This isn’t a complex or difficult storyline, and I definitely laughed a few times. Very remniscent of “last vegas” and “the bucket list”. Some buddies trying to have fun with nothing left to lose as the end of life comes near. The main investigator did a great job, and so did the girl at the end. What a fun way to end a tale like this and bring everything together.

I came into this film knowing nothing, and had someone encouraging me to go with them. I am struggling to even write this without tears thinking of the applications to all of our lives we can find in the movie. I didn't like all parts of this movie at all, and that's good. There were parts that made me upset for my own personal BS reasons - and I think that's a perfect indicator of a quality film. I was happy, sad, angry, and conflicted on so many different levels as the couple made life-altering decisions throughout the film. This was also quite funny - A24 has a way of making some of the weirdest movies I've ever seen, and I'm not complaining. I became especially upset as they walked around the town, seeing local shopkeepers and not having much of a plan after just meeting. It's those moments in the day to day that we neglect. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh did an unbelievable job here. This was a reminder that no matter who you might've known in a past life or a future one, choosing to love them and cherishing every moment of your time together is the best thing we can do for the world and those around us. People hurt us badly. They can also lift us up, and find us at the most unexpected moments.

I always appreciate works like this because I feel like others who may not be fans of anime would like the plot and be potentially drawn to it as a result of watching something like this. Squid game clearly took inspiration from this movie since this came out much before. This was a good film with intense scenes, and interesting games that contemplate mortality and relationships along the way. Watching the main character navigate each puzzle was fun and worth watching. The film felt whole hearted and full circle, and I wasn't left wanting much more. I feel like I got what I expected from this film.

"Dave made a maze" is one of the weirdest and most creative films I've watched in a while. It is clear how versatile paper, cardboard, and the medium can be. I can appreciate how the film maker utilized paper to its utmost, and every scene was quite different. The room with multiple visual ploys, like the photo on the wall/attached to the side of the camera was wonderful. The different outfits made of paper, while Dave and his girlfriend had variations of the same conversation sat with me as well. These were unbelievably well made scenes, and the story was fun to watch. I am very surprised by this movie.

Michael Shannon acted his butt off in the entirety of this movie. Watching his expressionless demeanor as he does whatever it takes to support his family was cold and powerful. From the costume design to the killing scenes, this was a quality film. Ray Liota was great as well, despite playing a very stereotypical role. I would recommend this to anyone who's a fan of mob movies or ice cold killing rampages. This was a solid film that encourages you to challenge your own beliefs - what would you do in the same scenario? I am happy I watched this and I hope Michael Shannon gets more recognition for this film some day.

Bottle rocket, one of Wes anderson's earliest films, was a joy to watch. It was a constant thrill ride, and the acting was quite meaningful. Owen wilson delivered and you truly begin to get to know each character as the storyline progresses. Luke wilson evoked a lot of emotion as he navigated life after the hospital, and it was fun to see him disregard the plan over time. This entire film felt whimsical, and I was quite happy with it. Wes Anderson always delivers, and I'd recommend this to anyone. The film quality is grainy and feels reminiscent of 1996, which was different but welcomed. I felt like I was watching a movie from my childhood.
