The cinematography 10/10 The color grading 10/10 The atmosphere and pacing 10/10 The lead (Lee Harker) and supporting actors 10/10 The story 4/10 The story was good enough, but this was definitely a bad Nicolas Cage film. His character came off cringier rather than creepy and daunting. I wanted to like this movie so bad, but I just couldn’t. It had nearly all of the elements in place, but it fell short. I generally feel like both the decision to cast Nicolas Cage as Longlegs and the choice to tell us at the start of the movie that he was going to be Longlegs was a poor choice. It immediately told us who the big bad was, and gives us expectations for how they may be. I have nothing against Nicolas Cage by any means, he is a great actor, but this movie wasn’t it.
