It was sheer magic from the acting, to the screenplay and the music ! Hats off to the director Rob Marshall and to Miranda for adding great music!! Hallie Bailey, Melissa McCarthy and Javier Bardem were great in their respective roles!!! Happy the film has made about $500 million globally! Saddened over the debate over color blind casting by ultra conservatives in this country and by people in China! Will Smith was criticized for his role as the genie in Aladdin and he was fantastic in that role!!! We should appreciate talent regardless of ethnicity period!!!

This movie was outstanding! Rotten Tomatoes be damned!!!! Can’t wait to see it again!!!!! Loved the lead actor as Foreman and Forest Whitaker as his mentor and coach!!!! Take your spouse, kids, grandkids, the entire family!!! Shout out to the great work done by the Job Corps!!! In the film, Foreman was introduced to boxing by Whitaker who he met at the Job Corps!!!! Did not know that Foreman eventually sold his famous grill for a cool $137 million!!!!! See this movie!!!!!!

Jake Gyllenhall was outstanding in his portrayal of the American soldier who was determined to get the Afghan interpreter who saved his life out of Afghanistan!!!! The bond between the two men was palpable and the movie was gripping!!!!! The battle scenes were amazing!!! War is hell!! Drives home the point of the evil perpetrated by the Taliban on the people of Afghanistan. At the film’s end, there was a statement that over 300 interpreters and their families have been killed in revenge for assisting the Americans!!!!

Loved this movie!!! Woody Harrelson was great!!! I enjoyed seeing his evolution from a man who only cared about winning the game to a more sensitive man who became a more effective coach once he got into understanding the feelings, experiences and motivations of his players! I especially related to the movie because I had similar experiences as a former special education teacher!!! In the movie, Harrelson discovered that one of the students avoided showering because he had almost drowned. Harrelson used his ingenuity to get him to change his hygienic habits!!! I had a student who was disruptive in my classroom and I learned that he loved sports!!! I motivated him to excel by offering a trip to ESPN as an incentive . He met Stephen A.Smith and was thrilled! He studied film production at SUNY and later landed a job in production at a major studio! I think teachers, sports lovers and families will love this film!!! Go see it!!!!

Rosamond Pike was awesome in her portrayal of this journalist who was so committed to her craft. Colvin definitely had flaws as shown in the movie; she smoked and drank too much, but her zeal in “getting the story” was amazing!!! Scenes of fighters taking selfies next to Quadaffi’s corpse were attention-grabbing, as were the scenes of Muslim women wailing upon seeing the remains of their loved ones being removed from a mass grave. I found the movie to be an enigma; it was sometimes hard to watch but I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen!!!! Also made me think about what’s going on in Syria right now? Media coverage has been minimal!!!! Kudos to Pike and Tucci for their stunning acting!!!

Hysterical!!!! The audience at Magic Johnson applauded from the opening scene when Tika Sumpter was dancing around her apartment while listening to the radio. We all do that!!! I think Tiffany Haddish just says funny stuff and is great at physical comedy, too. I will never forget the scene where she was dressed in a professional business suit and was trying unsuccessfully to walk in stilettos; she looked like a drunk staggering from side to side!! The viewer seated next to me almost choked on her drink! Omari Hardiwick was yummy, Whoopi Goldberg was funny, Tika Sumpter was great serenading Omari in the finale and Amber Riley from American Idol was good too!!! Go and have a rollicking good time!!!!
