I wanted to love this movie badly, as I’ve waited 2 months to see it. I was highly disappointed. Not because the movie was bad, but because it had all the pieces to be great, like a puzzle that was never put together. I kept waiting for the greatness to happen, but unfortunately it remained mediocre. I loved the premise of the storyline, a woman coming to grips with her star and beauty falling, the location, Las Vegas, and the actors, Pamela Anderson, and Jaime Lee Curtis. The problem was there was too much fluff and not enough storytelling. The stories were there but not developed, just surface level. There were glimpses of great acting, but not enough story or character development to relate or empathize. Shelly aka Pamela Anderson spoke of the show that was her entire purpose in life, but we never got to actually see it. She spoke of the daughter she felt guilty about not being there for, but we never got to see that happening. The movie felt like a trailer to the movie I wanted to see, just brief descriptions to make me want to see the movie. I’m happy I saw it, I was just hoping for more.
