It’s frustrating to see all the reviews are comparing it to ‘the silent patient’ when they are totally different stories. The maidens is by far one of my favourite books so far, finished it in one sitting. At first I thought the ending was a bit far fetched but when I proceeded all the information before the plot twist it makes sense totally sense, as Mariana was longing for love by her father which is what she was doing to Sebastian the whole time because she was told they were similar. Such a great read
