I give this 2.5 Stars. I selected 3 stars because there was no middle option but for some reason all five stars are highlighted. Read on...
I wanted to see more of the technical challenges that were overcome. This should have been named "Oppenheimer Loses Security Clearance". The scale of the Manhattan project was not captured - nothing about Oak Ridge enrichment which was using 10% of nation's electrical power. Nothing on Hanford at all- Los Alamos was a few huts. Most of all they missed the omnipresent force of nature Gen Leslie Groves - the man who singularly drove everyone including Oppie. It was interesting to see what he went through on his clearance - but this occurred 10 years after the bomb - and Hollywood can't seem to get enough of dramatizing their victimhood during McCarthyism era. The movie had a very left wing sympathy - which was annoyingly predictable. Gets a 2.5 because of the great acting performances.
