McKay Ballstaedt

I am really surprised to see raving reviews for this movie. I found myself unsatisfied as the credits rolled. What I can say was done well were the special effects. There are stunning shots and really cool special effects. The story has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese though. I found the plot making less and less sense as I thought about it. The entire conflict of the movie seems unreasonable and certain reveals seems almost like throw away lines. The conclusion of the movie frames some big victory for the conflict, when in reality it doesn’t seems like anything really was resolved for anyone besides the main character. In fewer words… it was eh
