Most people criticised this film without watching it.
The film excellently portrays how an 11-year-old girl deal with family, poverty, puberty, fitting in with peers, sexuality and identity. The character has excellent emotional depth, significant conflicts and the film points out an important message about how young girls are growing up in this increasing sexualised culture. (Young girls who dancing sexually on Tiktok and instagram. Sorry to be real but they do, a lot of them.)
Watch it, I think this is a brave and brilliant film that should make us start the conversation instead of having a cancel culture. Well done Netflix for not taking it down.
