This album is fantastic! When I first came to Los Angeles I was 30 and my girlfriend and I were split. I heard this song on k-Rock the radio station. The song is called (Giants) it’s really what turned me on to this awesome album. I waited to hear who the song was credited to and the band was called sponge,well I soaked it up! Ha Ha The next weekend I went to either Tower records or the warehouse record store and got the CD. Anyway it’s one of those albums that pulls you through a hard time. Me and my girlfriend got back together and ended up getting married. its now twenty five or so years later we’re on the rocks again. I still visit when I can and play music as we are making love and tonight I played it! and she said, as the waves slowly push on to the beach on the first song of the album, the title track( Rotting piñata ) “She said is that sponge” I said yes. Anyways I love this album. And as album’s are being bought again. Well you know what album I have to get next for my collection. I know you’ll love it. Off the top of my head it was 1996-ish we also saw them at the palace in Hollywood then - an epic night it was and they did (comfortably numb) sweet! Right? Every song is great , enjoy!!! Ps - it was the last band I saw right before the pandemic, at a small club and there wasn’t a lot of people there “ DAMN YOU COVID ! “but they were incredible to say the least.
