i started watching the kdrama because i had a lot of people telling me how good it was, and to a certain extent, it is. the actors carried out their roles great, the flow was okay, and they did talk about important topics such as lgbtq+ and racism. But why i didn't like itaewon class was because of what the writers seemed to be telling the viewers. It seemed as though they are trying to tell us that its okay to take revenge and that its okay to continuously harbour over past hurts. Its not that its wrong to feel hurt because of something someone has done to you, but its wrong to keep on thinking of them and to not move on from there. Also why is it that they are encouraging people to take revenge? Just because someone wasn't kind to you doesn't mean you can't be. To me, the morals that they were trying to instill were completely wrong. These morals do exist, but isnt it wrong to encourage them further? Overall, great actors, nice ost, nice flow, but the morals were all wrong.
