3.5 The movie itself is good but the last 30 minutes were absolutely amazing.

Personally, as someone who was/is in love with the book series, I was really excited about this show. The trailer was amazing, and it filled me with so much joy cause it really looked like my favorite book was coming alive. The actors nailed the characters. This is how I wanted my Ravi and Pip to look like, and this is how they were. But it was the writing in the show that made me rate it so low. First of all, they have removed a lot of smaller but important - well, I think is important - parts from the book. For instant how Pip & Ravi met for the first time in the beginning solidifies their characters in the book beautifully. But here Pip comes off more of a stalker as she follows him. Just like that, a lot of small incidents that actually lead Pip in the book to the killer don't happen here. Pip in this series just magically guesses what happened after looking at her wall. In the book, Ravi was a character who actually helped Pip solve the murder and from dying. Ravi in the series is just for witty lines and that's all. It had a lot of potential to be my favorite series, but unfortunately; it seems I am one of those people who just loves the book more than their adaptations. But if you haven't read the book yet, I think it will be a good watch for you.

I don't cry but this had me crying in my chair.

Thanks to the Unofficial Musical of Bridgerton, I have had finally decided to watch the show. With cinematography that is as breathtaking as the costumes, Bridgeton gives us the gossip, scandals behind the lives of nobles living in Regency-era London. The music is also amazing. We get a few modern songs that had been rendered into the era. Also, the cast is so diverse! Very excited for the second season.

Like everyone else, yes the book was better. But If you haven't read the book and just watch the movie as it is you will probably enjoy it better than me.
