This was an excellent movie. For a more thorough understanding of the conditions of the time, watch Rebellion (on Netflix), and The Wind That Shakes the Barley. Tim Pat Coogan’s biography of Michael Collins provides extensive details. Finally, One Million Dubliners provides an indication of the respect that exists for Michael Collins and the documentary has an unforgettable ending. A visit to Dublin makes it possible to walk the same streets as Michael Collins did, view a display in the General Post Office (GPO) with its bullet damage from Easter 1916, and attend the church where his funeral took place. His grave is in Glasnevin Cemetery, also in Dublin.

Ben is the ideal host on a wonderful game show! It would be great to see the contestants keep their winnings though. Most have terrible timing; if they would allow the counter to drop before the top shelf moves away, it would lie flat rather than stand and fall later, ending up as a “rider”.

The Dion Dublin segments are great. He doesn’t wave his hands around, gesticulating wildly, make bizarre facial expressions, distort his voice and exaggerate repeatedly. He could easily carry the whole show himself.
