I Have watched the first 4 seasons of Yellowstone. I have lived in Wyoming and have skiied, fished, hiked, horsebacked, driven cattle on my cousins ranch and snowmobiled in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming and have been through yellowstone park at least 25 times. I have watched the Longmire series which I would rate it higher than yellowstone. Just for the realism of script. Yellowstone series has great scenery, great camera work and some great actors but really pushes the boundries of how several of charactors would act in real life which ruins the series. Yes Montana has a good ol boys rancher network in real life. But several of the charectors in this series have been exploited as hollywood drama and are simply non realistic. I like most charectors in yellowstone but the reltionship between siblings Jamie and Beth is just unbelievable at home on the ranch and at work. No state attorney general in the USA would allow anyone to wait in their office unattended or assault them verbally and physically, even if its Beth who assaults Jamie 24/7 which is idiodic! Both Beths and Jamies written charectors in the script have become soap opera drama queens and has become very unbelievable to anyone who has any type of social, counciling, legal or psychological education or training. Neither could function in their job responsibilities as portrayed in this written script and really ruin the series as making it a juvinille drama. A huge hollywood writing mistake. I have asked over 2 dozen who viewed the series and they all agree of the flaws in the script of both Beth and Jamie being unrealistic. But other actors and the scenery carry the show. The Majority of the other charectors are more believable and are loved by the viewers. But Berh acting like a 14 year old psycho angry girl in a womens body as a fortune 500 banker, and Jamie as a frightened psychopathic child in a 40 year old male harvard educated attorney general is just a script killer. I am ex military and have known several Navy Seals. Kayce's charector lacks the muscle tone and looks like an actor with his shirt off and not a seal. John Dutton charector has many good Montana real life scenes, but several hollywood drama written scenes ruin his charector as unbelievable. But he plays the role well in the series besides this. The producers if wise would have Kayce exercise and tone up his body to make the role more believable as a former Navy Seal! Phyical fitness is life or death and common sense here. As knowing the Montana people, they would agree to most of this. The majority of the high reviews must be from other states and big cities and those seeking soap opera entertainment and simply overlook the Beth and Jamie script writing flaws. 5 stars for scenery and film work, but can only give 2 stars for the poor writing of charectors which makes the series unbelievable in real life.
