I love Michael Connelly, love his books, loved The Waiting….until it ended. I’m a bit disappointed how he ended it so quickly! The book was suspenseful until everything got wrapped up with no suspense and little about how the other story lines will wrap up, or direction it will take. It’s like he got bored and decided to end it within a couple short chapters. Now, I have to wait until October 2025. Seriously, so much more could have been written! 🥲 Seems his focus is writing for his next episode rather than a novel for his loyal readers.
