I'm a Senior so maybe I'm not impressed by much any more. Be that as it may, after attending the Wicked movie I don't understand what all the hype is about. I feel like I have landed in the kingdom of "the Emperor's New Clothes". The music was uninspiring, the plot so thin and cheesy, it would have been hard to stretch to an hour, let alone almost 3. It was the worst film I've attended in 20 years, so insipid and boring I would have left if not with friends. It is colorful enough to entertain kids I suppose, but otherwise not worth the ticket price. One member of my party who has seen the Broadway production of Wicked also commented that the film plot was very different than the live production, which I don't consider complimentary. For anyone who enjoyed the film I'm happy for you, but this won't appeal to everyone.
