Hetvi Shah's review for this quite brilliant movie says it all really. Superb acting, especially by the two principals, create a memorable tension.

Not bad but not good either. Not enough action - much of which is ridiculously far-fetched - and too much tedious talk. If you want to see a really good submarine movie then go see the German-made world war two film Das Boot.

Thoroughly enjoyed this film for its dry humour and authentic performances by all the cast, especially Pete Davidson. True, the movie is a bit on the long side but, surprisingly perhaps, it never outstayed its welcome.

This film is mindless fun, which is why it gets two stars. But I wonder how is it possible that our boyish hero can dodge every bullet sent his way by a veritable army of really nasty bad guys? Not a minor flesh wound, nor an inconvenient graze, no, not even an annoying scratch...

There are dead bodies everwhere, the Thames is full with floating corpses and the cities of Birmingham and Manchester have, apparently, been completely destroyed. So what does our cartoon politician tell the masses ... the alien attacks are "nothing to be concerned about". There are many good things in this adaptation but, unfortunately, the script is not one of them.

Great movie! Well written and superbly acted Norwegian thriller. Be sure you see it.

Some day, maybe, humans might try to adjust to the fact that our fellow creatures on earth do not actually think, speak or act like them. Pretending that lions, elephants and other wonderful animals can not only do these things but can also sing is not realistic so this film's relentless pursuit of realism is, ultimately, a pointless exercise. Disney should stick with animation.

Marty Mcfly and Varm say it all really. Top Gear is now crashing out of control down a steep hill. Really, there is not much worse than forced humour and that is about all this embarrassing show offers. Better watch Live at the Appollo.

Quite superb - a wonderful, fascinating feast of great acting, intelligent dialogue, beautiful settings and cleverly jaunty music. Not to be missed.

Ponderous and overlong, with too many unnecessarily tedious time-filling scenes. Costner was ok and Harelson better, but overall not a film, despite its gritty depiction of 1934 America, worth over two hours of any discerning movie lover's time.
