I’m surprised by the reviews, the good ones that is. I thought it was horribly cheesy. The “woke moment” button? The unoriginal topics shoved down our throats as an attempt to appeal to everyone. I, too have been watching this show since I was a child with the rest of you. The overkill of basic stereotypical issues: Miranda mentioning her professors braids, a white lady even daring to mention someone was black, Charlottes daughter doesn’t like to dress feminine, IVF, Covid, “white savior complex”, Che Diaz constantly mentioning cis gender and the harmful patriarchy, not to mention the podcast in general and again.. the woke button! Just throw in officers shooting unarmed black citizens and we’ve come full circle. I’m only 20 minutes into the first episode but I wouldn’t be surprised if that topic forcefully makes it appearance as well. What happened to Sex and the City? While attempting to walk through the minefield of every social justice issue we lost our beloved characters and Just like that… we have entered into a mash up of every show ever made past 2020.
