I saw the movie first. Then I read the book. It was very true to the book which is rare. The cast was amazing. Judy Parfitt, Essie Davis and Tom Wilkinson and Joanna Scanlan were amazing. Of course Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth were perfectly cast in their roles. It’s a history lesson as much as a romantic story.
