I think that Power of The Rings was written from almost a female gaze, it has rich well detailed visuals and costume design. The violence is directed and filmed a way in which it feels like a dance, the music is never harsh, it's strong yet has a grace to it, and the actors move accordingly. I've seen people complain that there isn't a lot of action, yet once again complain when there is action. The issue being a lot of the action is being done by Galadriel, a woman / she-elf, and I think this makes some of the male LOTR die hards a little upset.
