From the opening scene if a miner’s bleeding cut off leg to closeups of gun shot wounds at the end, this 2 hour plus story of a gambling addicted lunatic felt like a unnecessary assault on my senses. I needed a shower afterwards. And the attempt to make it deep and profound with celestial and colonoscopy visuals did nothing for me.
