I'm really grateful I read this piece of art while growing up. It opened up my imaginations, and exposed me to colonialism, cannibalism, and histories around the Pacific Ocean. Even now I'm an adult, the stories never left my mind, I still sometimes find myself day dreaming about this story. It was such a wonderful book!
