It should be illegal to review entire shows based on their first episodes, especially when it comes to a show like this.
Episode 1 seems to just be a prelude, where they got everything out of the way so we can enjoy the rest of the series without having to worry about the origin story.
Did the exposition feel a bit rushed and clunky? Sure. Still, they got us to where we needed to be while expertly establishing the tone.
I look forward to seeing the actual
show in the coming episodes. I'll also adjust this review when I get to the end, if I think it necessary.
If you want a more complete experience to jump into, I'd recommend waiting until episode 2 comes out. Otherwise, feel free to jump in and experience the light-hearted fun of episode 1!
